I'm Giulia
A very Italian Product Designer
I was born in Modena, home of tortellini and fast cars, I moved to Milano where I lived almost 9 years to pursue my aperitivo passion.
When covid hit and the world stopped I started to look for opportunities abroad and I landed in Amsterdam where I occasionally teach fresh pasta workshops.
In Milan, while balancing my time between risotti dinners and Design Weeks I studied Graphic Design & Art Direction at NABA. There I was lucky enough to meet a group of people I'm happy to still call friends, together we founded a small design collective Colla Collective with the goal of never stop having fun even while doing our grown up jobs.
While I was studying I started working fulltime in a pretty little studio creating books, there I worked with papers for some years and betrayed paper for screens only in 2018. After graduating the UX Design master in TAG Innovation school, I started working in an award-winning multidisciplinary design studio as a Product Designer.
Since September 2021, I've been calling Amsterdam home. Currently I work at SkillLab, an impact-driven startup with a mission to democratise job opportunities through a skill-based approach.
Despite my job, paper will always hold a special place in my heart. That's why I keep working on many personal projects involving words and images on paper and I try to get my hands dirty as much as possible.
Starting in 2020 I devoted some time to teaching and I held classes in different Universities (LABA and NABA) and mentored new recruits. I taught classes on User Experience, Research and Interface and organized workshops on Agile User Testing and Prototyping.
